Les nominations des Oscars 2021 viennent de tomber et il y a quelques surprises et des oubliés comme tout les ans.

D’abord le film Mank de David Fincher a été largement cité par l’Académie, même si c’est bien celui de Chloé Zhao, qui est parti favori lors de cette 93e édition.
C’est avec quelques semaines de retard par rapport au calendrier habituel, que l’Académie des Oscars a dévoilé ce lundi la liste des nominations pour la 93e cérémonie. Cette dernière se déroulera le 25 avril à Los Angeles.
Le film Mank, réalisé par David Fincher, arrive en tête, avec 10 nominations. Il se place juste devant un autre long métrage de la plateforme, Les Sept de Chicago d’Aaron Sorkin, qui décroche 7 nominations.
Le grand favori de cette 93e édition est Nomadland, qui s’était démarqué aux Golden Globes. Le film minimaliste de Chloé Zhao, se retrouve avec 6 nominations, autant que The Father du Français Florian Zeller et la surprise américano-sud-coréenne, Minari. Enfin, Promising Young Woman et Ma Rainey comptabilisent 5 nominations chacun. La soirée des Oscars 2021 se jouera donc entre ces 7 films.
D’ailleurs ces nominations sont également une première, pour la première fois 2 femmes réalisatrices (Chloé Zhao et Emerald Fennell pour Promising Young Woman) à concourir dans la catégorie meilleur réalisateur. Tandis que l’acteur Steve Yeun (Minari) devient le premier asiatique nommé à l’Oscar du meilleur acteur.
Les déceptions des oscars 2021
Cependant comme tout les ans ont peut noter des oubliés comme pour l’acteur français Tahar Rahim. Il en va de même pour Jodie Foster et Rosamund Pike qui avaient pourtant remporté un Golden Globes. L’Académie a aussi boudé Malcolm & Marie. Une autre déception, ce fut évidemment celle de ne pas voir le film Demon Slayer dans les nommés.
